Among the 37 cultural landscapes in Taiwan, the class of Jihalaai is a landscape of agriculture, forestry, fishery and animal husbandry. The most noticeable thing is that Jihalaai is the first cultural landscape containing terraces. Chen Jiancun said that the cultural landscape of Jihara Ai is the Ami indigenous people. In the natural environment, they opened up the water and then used the water to irrigate the terraces. What is hard to come by is that the water and the terraces are continuously used.

全台灣37處文化景觀中，吉哈拉艾的類別是農林漁牧景觀，最受人注意的在於，吉哈拉艾是第一個包含梯田的文化景觀。陳建村表示，吉哈拉艾的文化景觀就是阿美族原住民，在自然環境中去開闢出水圳，然後利用水圳灌溉梯田，很難得的是，水圳和梯田都持續使用中。
